Heartburn or heartbreak

20... oh that stuff is timeless

I‘m in pain.
Deeply and subtly... Well, not sublty.
It‘s pretty sharp. No, that blunt pushy sensation...
Somewhere between the ribs, or in the knees...
All over the place, really.
The pain is called „heartbreak“ or „Herzschmerz“ in German.
It does sound accurate in German – brutal and harsh.

So poeticised, bittersweet, rose coloured
But actually goddam hard and snorty.
Nothing romantic about it,
Just sobs and floods of pain from nowhere.
Making you lie there all day
Without any other purpose,
Just to suffer.
